Book – Photo Museum – City Beat / Country Street

City Beat/Country Street launched Saturday Dec. 7th, 2024, 2pm at @photomuseumirl 

City Beat/Country Street Volume 1 is a Limited Collectible Edition run of 250 copies. They will be signed and numbered. And there will never be another run of this publication. 🙂

Most of my beat is the city street. But with increasing time spent in the country, the separation of the two began to skew. And the scenes and people I had encountered took on a new and dynamic view.

It was as if a little girl at the country fair, and another in a city square, said “we want to be friends.” Three proud and confident queens yelled out to some young boys, full of muck and burgeoning on teens. “We’ll show you attitude!”

The interactions in my mind grew and grew. There were no barriers, no them and you. I saw clearly, in my love of street, that dirt or pavement, had no baring on the meet. The meat was faces, burning bright. It was people all around me, who had always been the meaning in my life.
